EOSB

Looking for reason to believe that there just might be a football season after all?

Look no further than CBSSports.com’s Mike Freeman.

The reputable Freeman writes in his blog this fine Thursday morning that these secret meetings that have happened recently should be reason to get your hopes up. I personally enjoy his linking of the CIA web page in his referencing the secret meetings.

Among other things going on in and around the NFL’s version of the Bretton Woods Conference that Freeman has latched onto is that there has been a warming of relations between NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and DeMaurice Smith, the head of the group formerly known as the NFL Players Association.

He also cites his sources as saying that both sides are confident in Judge Arthur Boylan, the man given the task of mediating the negotiations or meetings or whatever you want to call it.

Freeman also gives other reasons to believe. Check it out. Good stuff.
