METAIRIE, La. – Saints tight end Jimmy Graham spent part of his Monday going through a medical checkup to determine the severity of an ankle sprain, interim coach Aaron Kromer said.
“We really don’t know of his progress right now,” Kromer said early Monday.
Additionally, cornerback Jabari Greer was going through testing after re-aggravating the groin injury that forced him to miss nearly all of training camp and the season opener after having sports hernia surgery.
Greer didn’t play in the second half and played only 23 of the team’s 65 defensive snaps.
But Kromer is optimistic about his return after the bye week.
“It looks good, so hopefully he’s ready for Tampa Bay (in two weeks),” Kromer said.
Graham, meanwhile, was announced in the press box as being questionable to return coming out of the halftime break. But he did return, though he didn’t make any catches in the second half. He wasn’t thrown a pass in the final 30 minutes and caught only one ball all game.
He left the Superdome with a walking boot on his right ankle.
