NEW ORLEANS -- Forward Al-Farouq Aminu has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
The one-year deal is said to be worth $3.7 million.
Aminu came to New Orleans in the Chris Paul trade in 2011. Last year as a member of the Hornets, Aminu averaged 7.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds.
After the acquisition of Tyreke Evans, it's likely Aminu, a small forward, will be coming off the bench. Recent reports say Evans will mostly play small forward, with new guard Jrue Holiday handling the point and Eric Gordon at shooting guard.
