METAIRIE, La. — Four players, including two starters, sat out Wednesday practice for the Saints ahead of this weekend’s game against Atlanta.

Running back Darren Sproles (left hand) and right tackle Zach Strief (left groin) were out, Sproles missing his fourth-consecutive practice after surgery last week.

Meanwhile, defensive end Junior Galette (left ankle) and receiver Courtney Roby (left shoulder) also sat out. Roby has missed four practices after injuring his shoulder against Denver on Oct. 28.

For Atlanta, receiver Kevin Cone (groin), safety Charles Mitchell (calf), running back Jason Snelling (illness) and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (ankle) didn’t practice.

Defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (hamstring), tackle Sam Baker (ankle), receiver Harry Douglas (ankle), defensive tackle Peria Jerry (knee) and cornerback Asante Samuel (hip) all were limited. Only defensive end John Abraham (elbow) was full.
