NEW ORLEANS -- With a day left until rookie minicamp, the New Orleans Saints have signed four of their five draft picks to four-year deals, including their first-round selection Kenny Vaccaro.

Vaccaro is the first selection in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft to sign a contract.

The Saints also signed third round tackle Terron Armstead out of Arkansas Pine-Bluff, fifth round wide receiver Kenny Stills out of Oklahoma and sixth rounder linebacker Rufus Johnson out of Tarleton State.

It's remarkably early for a Saints first rounder to sign his contract. The last time the Saints had a first round selection, in 2011 when the took both defensive end Cameron Jordan and running back Mark Ingram, the players didn't sign until August and July, respectively.

The Saints are hoping that by getting Vaccaro and the other picks into camp early, they'll have a better shot at contributing on the field as soon as possible.
