METAIRIE, La. - The Saints have signed their second round draft pick to a four-year contract, the team announced Saturday.

Cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste was selected in the second round with the 58th overall selection out of Nebraska.

Baptiste, who is 6-foot-3, and 218 pounds, is expected to give the Saints a large defensive back in the mold of some of the guys who play for Seattle.

As a senior in 2013, he was named second-team All-Big Ten after recording 41 tackles, one sack, four stops for a loss, four interceptions and 12 passes defensed.
