Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini and quarterback Brady Quinn aren't just impressed with LeBron James, the reigning NBA MVP and captain of the Central Division-leading Cleveland Cavaliers. They're ready to hand him a jersey.

"Tell him to suit up and let us know, we'll get him working," Quinn told ESPN. "Obviously he's an incredibly talented athlete. If he wants to try to play a little bit now, we'd be more than willing to pick him up."

An ESPN article is laced with questions surrounding the titillating possibility of 'Bron in brown. Would he be a tight end? A wide receiver? How long would it take him to get ready? Just how good would he be?

Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey feels he has a better question: Who cares?

"everyone trust me Lebron James could not play in the NFL! espn is crazy to even think he could even make a practice squad. hes a 4.9 40 time," Shockey wrote in his Twitter account Wednesday.

Shockey, in another example of the wall crumbling between fan and athlete, jumped in the debate with other members of Twitter.

One fan wrote back: What about Michael Jordan? Didn't he play baseball?

"yea mj played in the minors.." Shockey wrote, before adding this little nugget: "would be fun playing another sport..."

Another fan said that LeBron, in fact, was faster than the tight end suggests -- he says he could run around 4.5 -- and would be comparable to Pro Bowlers Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.

Don't bet on it, Shockey said.

"4.5 you think? at 6"8 i would love to see that.... he is quick but 4.5 thats hard to believe**********"
