Tulane's women, a former staple in the NCAA women's tournament, is ecstatic about returning to the big dance.
They'll face SEC opponent Georgia, seeded fifth in Tulane's region. The Wave is seeded 12th.
LSU, La. Tech and Southern also made the field, though the Jaguars face top-ranked UConn.
Receiving an at-large bid, LSU (20-9) is seeded seventh in the Memphis Region and will open against No. 10 Hartford in Durham, N.C.
Tulane (26-6), which won the Conference USA tournament, is seeded 12th in the Sacramento Region and will open against fifth-seeded Georgia in Tempe, Ariz.
Western Athletic Conference tournament champion Louisiana Tech (23-8) is a 14th seed in the Dayton Region and will meet No. 3 seed Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla.
Also in the Dayton Region, Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament winner Southern (23-8) is seeded 16th and must open against No. 1 seed Connecticut in Norfolk, Va.
