NEW ORLEANS — Point guard Jarrett Jack will miss the remainder of the season with a stress fracture in his right foot, the team announced Monday morning.
Jack, who played in 45 games this season, missed the past three games due to the injury, which occurred late in the Hornets’ five-game road trip that ended March.
In his seventh year out of Georgia Tech, Jack was having his best season yet, averaging career-highs for points (15.6), assists (6.3) and rebounds (3.9) in 34 minutes. He led New Orleans (15-41) in scoring 16 times this season, in assists 27 times and in rebounds once.
Additionally, Jack had five double-doubles and recorded his first NBA triple-double (17 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds) on March 21 in a nine-point loss to Golden State.
