Hornets fans will leave the New Orleans Arena after games this season with a little bit more money in their pockets than in previous years.
The franchise announced this week price cuts on concessions, including a $2 reduction of a 16-ounce draft beer to $6. There also will be a 25-cent drop on water.
Prices also have been frozen on other concessions.
The move comes after years of fans voicing their disappointment in the expense of products at the Arena.
“Based on feedback we’ve received, variety, selection and pricing in regards to concessions were at the top of their list,” Hornets owner Tom Benson said. “We have listened to their feedback and, in cooperation with SMG and Centerplate, feel we have taken great steps towards meeting those needs with our new partnerships with Pepsi and evamor.”
