The Hornets have acquired center Brad Miller and two future second round picks from Minnesota for a conditional second-round choice in the future.
New Orleans was in need of a center after trading Emeka Okafor to Washington before this year’s draft.
The Hornets also get cash in the deal and send their protected 2017 second-round pick to the Timberwolves. New Orleans receives Minnesota’s second-round picks in 2013 (which the Timberwolves got from Brooklyn) and 2016.
Miller (7-foot, 261 pounds) has played for the Bulls, Pacers, Kings, Rockets and Minnesota in a 14-year career that began with Charlotte.
The 36 year old owns a 11.2 points and 7.1 rebound per game average.
