The Hornets have re-signed forward Carl Landry, he announced on Twitter Thursday morning.

He posted, "Happy that the @NBA season is about to start, but more happy that I will be with the @Hornets again this year!! #I'MIN #GeauxHornets"

Landry gives the Hornets a familiar face at the power forward position after David West opted to sign with the Pacers.

The 6-foot-9 fifth-year pro from Purdue averaged 11.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in 23 games with the Hornets, who acquired him from Sacramento in a trade deadline move.

In his career, he averaged 12.1 point and 5.1 rebounds.
