NEW ORLEANS — A one game send-down to the NBA’s D-League was all Xavier Henry needed.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound guard scored 13 points and had two steals in 20 minutes with the Iowa Energy on Sunday, the same day the Hornets announced they were assigning him to there.

Nearly 24 hours later, the Hornets announced they were recalling him.

Henry has played in 25 games for New Orleans, who acquired Henry in an early-season trade that sent Quincy Pondexter to the Grizzlies.
