Hornets guard Xavier Henry is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery that repaired a tear in the lateral meniscus in his right knee.

In spite of the injury, Henry had an impressive summer league, playing through pain to average 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in five starts.

Henry is entering his third season in the NBA and came to the Hornets prior to the 2011-12 season in a trade with Memphis.

He’s expected to be ready for training camp this fall.
