The Hornets No. 1 overall pick just might be going to the Olympics after all.

After getting passed over during Olympic tryouts, forward/center Anthony Davis has been called up by USA Basketball, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted Thursday.

Clippers All-Star Blake Griffin reportedly twisted his knee and will have an MRI, making room for Davis to at least pick up a spot temporarily.

Davis twisted his ankle the week after the NBA draft but has recovered enough that he was expected to play for the Hornets during their summer league stretch in Las Vegas.
