NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Hornets have reportedly agreed on a sign-and-trade deal with the Orlando Magic for forward Ryan Anderson.
The deal, first reported by The Orlando Sentinel, has the Hornets sending Gustavo Ayon in return for Anderson.
The former first round pick had a breakout season last year for the Magic, averaging 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds a game. He'll bring versatility and an ability to play both center and forward.
CBS Sports says Anderson could command as much as $10 million a year.
According to reports the deal shouldn't stop the team from matching the contract offer from the Phoenix Suns for Eric Gordon.
