NEW ORLEANS -- ESPN's Ric Bucher is reporting that the Hornets will indeed match an offer by the Phoenix Suns for guard Eric Gordon.
Gordon had said his "heart is in Phoenix" after agreeing to a contract offer with the Suns, but because he is a restricted free agent, the Hornets have the right to retain him should they match the four-year, $58 million offer.
And according to Bucher, the Hornets will do just that.
Source: Hornets not scared off by Gordon's comments, will match Suns' 4-year, $58million offer and plan to keep him. No S&T.
