METAIRIE, La. — Take heed, Saints fans.

Drew Brees practiced fully Thursday. There are no grand conspiracies to be played out and nothing to be worried about.

“He had a bruise on his right knee,” Saints coach Sean Payton said. “He’s fine. He was full today. There was nothing more to it.”

Brees was limited Wednesday and on the injury report for the first time this season. He last was on the report in the third week of 2012 when he had a left ankle injury.

Payton said Brees moved around fine Thursday, adding that “you wouldn’t have noticed it.”

The last significant injury Brees sustained was in 2010 when he injured his left knee against Atlanta in late September. He wore a brace at that point, but didn’t miss any time.

Brees has been sacked 36 times this season, the most in his career. His previous high was 27 in 2005 when he was with the Chargers. Brees’ previous high in New Orleans was 26 in 2012.
