METAIRIE, La. — Five players didn’t practice and five others were limited for the Saints Wednesday, their first day of practice ahead of Sunday’s game at the New York Jets.

Safety Malcolm Jenkins (knee) didn’t go after leaving this past Sunday’s win over Buffalo in the second quarter. Jenkins said he left the game more as a precaution and that his knee injury was only a tweak.

Meanwhile, defensive end Tyrunn Walker (knee), right guard Jahri Evans (hip), receiver Marques Colston (knee) and safety Kenny Vaccaro (head/back) didn’t practice.

Cornerback Rod Sweeting (hip), receiver Kenny Stills (knee), linebacker David Hawthorne (ankle), tight end Jimmy Graham (foot) and safety Roman Harper (knee) all were limited.

Cornerback Keenan Lewis (foot/knee), defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (knee) and defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle) all were full.

For the Jets, guard Willie Colon (calf), tight end Jeff Cumberland (concussion) and receivers Stephen Hill (foot), Santonio Holmes (hamstring) and Jeremy Kerley (illness) didn’t practice. Center Nick Mangold (ribs) was limited.
