NEW ORLEANS - Five Saints players have made the list of the NFL's top 100, according to the NFL Network, which said it takes a poll of fellow players.
Darren Sproles who rejuvenated his career this past season ranked as the 86th best player. Not bad when you consider there are over 700 starting players in the league. Sproles accounted for 10 touchdowns and had more than 1,300 yards rushing and receiving.
Jonathan Vilma was ranked 58th. A bittersweet vote for Saints fans in that it acknowledges Vilma's importance and also highlights what the Saints will be without this coming season.
Tackle Jahri Evans ranked 32nd. He was considerably higher than his departed counterpart Carl Nicks who was 76th.
Jimmy Graham, in a surprisingly high ranking, was touted as the league's 14th best player - 7 spots ahead of Rob Gronkowski, his fellow tight end and the player he is most often compared with.
Evans is the top rated offensive lineman to this point; Graham the top-rated tight end.
Drew Brees was in the top 10, but his final ranking hasn't been released yet.
