NEW ORLEANS -- NFL.com is reporting that Commissioner Roger Goodell will hear appeals on the Saints' punishments in the bounty scandal on Thursday.

Among those appealing suspensions are head coach Sean Payton, general manager Mickey Loomis and assistant Joe Vitt. The Saints are also appealing a $500,000 fine and the loss of second-round picks in 2012 and 2013.

Goodell has said that the process would be expedited, like the league handles appeals of in-season suspensions.

The NFL has not ruled yet on the players cited in the scandal. There have been as many as 27 players implicated.
