NEW ORLEANS -- Tight end Jimmy Graham was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, becoming the first tight end in 27 years to win the award.
In September, Graham had 27 receptions for 458 yards and six touchdowns. The tight end is ranked second in the NFL in receiving yardage and tied for first in touchdown receptions.
In a three-game stretch against the Dolphins, Cardinals and Buccaneers, Graham caught five touchdowns.
According to the Saints, Graham’s three-game span of 413 yards is tied for the most by a tight end over a three-game span in a single season, tied with Shannon Sharpe (1996) and Dave Kocourek (1961).
