METAIRIE, La. — Tackle Charles Brown  and defensive end Martez Wilson were the only two Saints players to miss practice Wednesday with injuries as New Orleans prepares for its bout with reigning Super Bowl champion the New York Giants.

Additionally, cornerback Johnny Patrick was out with an illness.

Safety Roman Harper, meanwhile, was limited with a right ribs injury.

Brown hasn’t practiced since injuring his right knee against Oakland on Nov. 18. This was his seventh-consecutive practice to sit out.

Wilson (toe) hasn’t missed a practice all season. Saints interim coach Joe Vitt didn’t specify whether the injury occurred in the game or during Monday’s bonus practice.
