METAIRIE, La. — Five players have been ruled out of New Orleans’ Thursday night game at Atlanta, but the biggest question mark heading into the showdown remains right tackle Zach Strief.
After missing the past three games with a left groin injury, Strief is listed as questionable. He missed the first game against the Falcons.
But Will Robinson, whom the Saints picked up prior to the 49ers game and played when Bryce Harris left with a broken right lower leg, made it appear that Strief would be ready to go against Atlanta.
When asked about going from being a bouncer to the Saints starting right tackle, Robinson replied, “Strief is back, but I’m here to do my job and do the best that I can. If they need me, I’ll be ready. I’m excited.”
Meanwhile, tight end David Thomas (knee) and cornerback Corey White (left knee) are also questionable.
Cornerback Elbert Mack (concussion) is probable after clearing his concussion protocol earlier this week.
Receiver Courtney Roby (shoulder, ankle), offensive tackle Charles Brown (right knee), defensive end Junior Galette (left ankle), defensive tackle Tom Johnson (back) and safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (concussion) all missed practice Tuesday and are out for the Falcons game.
