This week's NFL power rankings...

/ Denver 8-1 (last week 1) - If Manning is hurt badly, they could slide fast.
/ Kansas City 9-0 (last week 2) - Their real season starts this coming week.
/ Seattle 9-1 (last week 3) - Still very little to criticize with Seahawks.
/ New England 7-2 (last week - 6) - With Carolina and Denver on the horizon, their real mettle could be tested.
/ Saints 7-2 (last week 7) - Saints obliteration of Dallas sent warning signs to league.
/ Carolina 6-3 (last week 9) - They face Pats and Saints (twice) in season's home stretch.
/ Indianapolis 6-3 (last week 4) - You can't lay that big of an egg - at home - and not have questions.
/ San Francisco 6-3 (last week 5) - Back-to-back losses to Carolina and Saints would be damaging.
/ Detroit 6-3 (last week unranked) - With an ailing Rodgers in Green Bay, Lions could be best of average bunch.
/ Cincinnati 6-4 (last week 10) - Someone had to go here. Bengals can be very good or pretty darn bad.
