METAIRIE, La. – Cornerbacks Patrick Robinson and Jabari Greer, along with receiver Nick Toon, are the only players ruled out of Sunday’s preseason opener in the Hall of Fame game.

Robinson has missed the past four practices with an undisclosed shoulder injury while Greer spent Thursday in Philadelphia having a procedure done to correct a sports hernia.

Toon left practice Thursday with a left foot injury, one acting head coach Joe Vitt said would keep the receiver out for 6-10 days.

Additionally, the status of defensive tackle Akiem Hicks hasn’t been decided. Friday was the first day Hicks practiced in pads. The third-round pick out of the University of Regina in Canada broke his hand during organized team activities this offseason and didn’t come off the physically unable to perform list until this week.

“We’re going to evaluate where we think he is right now,” Vitt said. “We are sensitive to the fact that he’s a Canadian kid coming out of a lower-class program. He hasn’t had the pads on. We’ll evaluate that today.”
