TAMPA, Fla. — Jonathan Vilma is all but certain to see his first game action since the NFC Divisional playoff loss to San Francisco.
As expected once New Orleans (1-4) bumped him up from the PUP list, the Saints made Vilma active today against the Tampa Bay Bucs (2-3). He’ll be playing in spite of having practiced only three days this season.
Meanwhile, running back Chris Ivory is inactive once again, meaning Travaris Cadet is active for his third game this season. Ivory has been active in only the San Diego game, but didn’t play.
Cornerback Elbert Mack, defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker, offensive tackle Bryce Harris and defensive end Turk McBride all are healthy scratches.
On Friday, the Saints listed linebacker David Hawthorne (right hamstring) as inactive. A day later, tight end Jimmy Graham (right ankle) was downgraded to out and left in New Orleans.
For Tampa Bay, running back Michael Smith, defensive back Keith Tandy, linebacker Jacob Cutrera, linebacker Najee Goode, offensive lineman Cody Wallace, receiver Chris Owusu and tight end Danny Noble are inactive.
