METAIRIE, La. — Three days before the Saints play at Denver, acting head coach Joe Vitt already has deemed to players out for the interconference showdown.
Receiver Joe Morgan (chest) was limited Thursday while tight end Daniel Graham (left knee) did not practice. Both won’t play against the Broncos.
When asked if there was a time table for Morgan’s return, Vitt said, “I have not be deified so I can’t tell you that. He’s not playing this week and we’ll work on that as the week goes along.”
Tight end Jimmy Graham (right ankle), meanwhile, was limited for his fourth consecutive practice and would seem to be in position to play against the Broncos (3-3) with Daniel Graham being out.
“Jimmy Graham is about the same as he was yesterday,” Vitt said. “He participated in some land-based drills and routes on air. Doctors and trainers are evaluating him now.”
Linebacker David Hawthorne (right hamstring) was a little quicker Thursday, Vitt said.
“There was no ill effects of him practicing yesterday,” Vitt said. “He did a good job today.”
