NEW ORLEANS -- ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Drew Brees has no intention of signing a franchise tender and reporting to training camp should he and the Saints not reach a long-term deal.

Mortensen says the Saints have offered a deal averaging $19.25 million a season, while Brees is asking for $20.5 million.

The deadline for Brees to sign a long-term deal with the Saints and avoid the franchise tender is 3 p.m. Monday.
