NEW ORLEANS -- The pre-season injury woes for the New Orleans Saints continue to mount with news that linebacker Will Smith may be done for the 2013-2014 season.
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, citing a league source, is reporting Smith is out of the season after a knee injury he suffered in Sunday's preseason game against the Houston Texans.
The Saints have yet to publicly confirm the severity of Smith's injury.
If Smith is indeed done for the season, he joins two other defensive players -- outside linebacker Victor Butler who went down with a torn ACL and defensive end Kenyon Coleman who tore a pectoral muscle -- lost to season-ending injuries.
On offense, the Saints also lost receiver Joe Morgan for the season, after he went down with a torn meniscus and a partially-torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
