NEW ORLEANS ― Newly minted starting weakside linebacker Jonathan Casillas sat out practice Tuesday with a shoulder injury.

However, Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said the injury wasn’t serious.

In place of Casillas with the first team was Jo-Lonn Dunbar at weakside as Scott Shanle continued his work as the No. 1 strongside linebacker.

Newly acquired running back Ladell Betts worked out without pads and free safety Darren Sharper wasn’t at practice for the second day in a row.

Others who missed: linebacker Clint Ingram, free safety Usama Young, tight end Jimmy Graham, linebacker Stanley Arnoux and fullback Marcus Mailei.
