The Saints will travel to Nashville, Tenn., today for their Thursday preseason finale against the Titans. We've still got Saints Linkage for you, however.

Like the 2009 regular season, the Saints are leading the league in offense in the preseason. And who is benefitting the most? Why, the Saints' defense, of course.

Jeremy Shockey was one of eight players who missed practice Tuesday.

The Saints cut two players to get to the league's mandated 75-player roster limit. They still have 22 players to cut by 3 p.m. Saturday.

Marques Colston, for possibly the first time in his life, was called for unsportsmanlike conduct against the Chargers. Regardless, he's trying to maintain the consistency that made him one of the NFL's best.

Elsewhere around the interweb:
Les East, writing for the Baton Rouge Advocate, says that the Saints have two oustanding youngsters playing special teams for them - Garrett Hartley and Thomas Morstead.

Brian Allee-Walsh of NewOrleans.com believes that S Darren Sharper will begin the season on the PUP list. Ingram, too.

East, putting on his NewOrleans.com hat, just wants the season to begin.

Mike Triplett of the T-P/NOLA.com news syndicate writes that Drew Brees and other starters won't play against Tennessee.

James Varney, Triplett's backcourt mate at the T-P/NOLA.com, writes that the Saints have only five of their 2010 draft picks left on the roster.

Brett Martel of the Associatd Press writes a wonderful feature on Drew Brees in which we find out how the quarterback punishes himself.

Nationally speaking:
Peter King of SI.com says he doesn't think Darren Sharper plays opening weekend.

EOSB friend Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com ranks the offensive linemen of the NFC South and the Saints have some highly-rated dudes.

Christopher Harris of ESPN.com says the Saints have a sleeper on their roster this season.

The Sporting News puts out three bullet points about what we have learned about the Saints in the preseason.
