10/ Jabari Greer (free agent 2013)
You can say what you want about the touchdowns Greer gave up this season, but in games when the Saints went matchup-specific, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams put Greer on the opponent’s best receiver. When the game was on the line, Williams and Greer’s defensive cohorts trusted him.
Greer was fifth on the team in tackles with 61, had three tackles for a loss, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. But just as importantly as those stats are the 12 passes defended, tied for a team-high.
In tandem with Tracy Porter, Greer makes up the other half of the one of the league’s youngest and more-athletic cornerback groups. He came up with New Orleans’ only takeaway of the postseason.
