METAIRIE, La. — Quarterback Drew Brees was limited during the Saints’ Wednesday practice with a knee injury.
The injury report came out after reporters spoke with both coach Sean Payton and Brees, so the extent of the injury and when it occurred is unknown.
Brees participated in individual drills during the open portion of practice.
Meanwhile, tackle Terron Armstead (shoulder), receiver Marques Colston (back), guard Jahri Evans (knee), safety Rafael Bush (ankle), linebacker Keyunta Dawson (calf) and linebacker Kevin Reddick (shoulder) were limited.
Both tight end Josh Hill (hamstring) and running back Pierre Thomas (eye) were full.
For Tampa Bay, which didn’t practice Wednesday, guard Carl Nicks (foot) has been ruled out while defensive end Da’Quan Bowers (knee) and linebacker Dekoda Watson (groin) were listed as not practicing had the team gone through a session. Safety Mark Barron (hamstring), linebacker Ka’Lial Glaud (hamstring), and guard Davin Joseph (knee) were limited; linebacker Lavonte Davis (elbow) and defensive tackle Akeem Spence (wrist) were listed as full.
