METAIRIE, La. ― Saints Pro Bowl right guard Jahri Evans sat out practice Thursday as New Orleans prepares for Monday night’s pivotal NFC South showdown with Atlanta.
Evans, who has started 94 consecutive games since being drafted by the Saints in 2006, injured his left knee with 5:15 to play in the second quarter of Sunday’s win over Minnesota. He left the game briefly before returning and finishing the game.
In addition to Evans, linebacker Jonathan Vilma (left knee), running back Mark Ingram (turf toe) and defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (hamstring) didn’t practice.
Defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin (ankle)and linebackers Jonathan Casillas (knee) and Ramon Humber (knee) were limited.
