METAIRIE, La. ― Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma is listed as probable for New Orleans’ Monday night affair at San Francisco.
Vilma was full all week despite being listed on the official injury report with a groin injury, which he sustained in New Orleans’ penultimate preseason game against San Diego on Aug. 27.
He finished the season opener against Minnesota with six tackles, one pass defensed and an interception that he returned for five yards.
Additionally, offensive tackle Zach Strief (right knee), running back Chris Ivory (left knee) and linebacker Anthony Waters (hamstring) all did not practice Saturday and are out for the game against the 49ers.
Right tackle Jon Stinchcomb missed practice Saturday due to a death in the family, but Head Coach Sean Payton said the stalwart on the offensive line will meet the team in California.
For San Francisco, tackle Alex Boone (calf), linebacker Ahmad Brooks (elbow), guard Adam Snyder (illness), linebacker Patrick Willis (knee/thumb) all practiced full and are listed as probable. Cornerback Philip Adams (hamstring) was full but is listed as quesitonable.
Additionally, receiver Ted Ginn (knee), cornerback Williams James (ankle) and center Chilo Rachal (stinger) did not participate and are listed as doubtful. And center Eric Heitmann (fibula) is out.
