METAIRIE, La. ― The same three players who missed Thursday’s practice sat out against Friday as the Saints moved one day closer to their Monday game at San Francisco.
Running back Chris Ivory (left knee), offensive tackle Zach Strief (right knee) and linebacker Anthony Waters (hamstring) all did not practice at the Saints’ Metairie facility.
Ivory injured his knee in the first half of New Orleans’ final preseason game on Sept. 2 against Tennessee while Strief was hurt in the Saints’ penultimate preseason game on Aug. 27.
Waters strained his hamstring in the season opener against Minnesota on a second half kick.
