NEW ORLEANS – The Saints continued to make small tweaks to their roster, re-signing restricted free agent cornerback Leigh Torrence.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it’s reported as a one-year contract.
Torrence was placed on injured reserve following a November shoulder injury. He played in five games, mostly on special teams.
He finished with eight tackles in his final two games of the season against St. Louis and Tampa Bay.
He becomes the third free agent to re-up with the Saints, joining safety Pierson Prioleau and center Nick Leckey.
Linebacker Scott Fujita left as an unrestricted free agent after signing with the Cleveland Browns. The other unrestricted free agent still on the market is safety Darren Sharper, who showed up to a Super Bowl DVD preview party on crutches.
The Saints have scheduled visits this week from defensive tackle Jamal Williams, defensive ends Leonard Little and James Hall.
