The Saints have re-signed receiver Joe Morgan to a one-year contract, boosting the depth of the receiving corps.
The team announced the move Tuesday afternoon.
Morgan was poised to be the Saints' deep threat this past season until he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during training camp.
New Orleans watched in 2012 as Morgan lit up defenses. He caught 10 passes for 379 yards and three touchdowns.
But last season's knee injury was the second Morgan suffered in his short career that kept him off the field. HIs rookie season was nixed when a separate, unrelated knee injury, forced him onto injured reserve.
