METAIRIE, La. – The Saints signed tight end Tory Humphrey, releasing quarterback Sean Canfield to make room.
New Orleans (5-2), heading into Sunday’s game at St. Louis (0-6), had been playing with only two tight ends since David Thomas has missed four games after suffering a concussion on Sept. 25.
Jimmy Graham and John Gilmore are the only players who have been active at the position.
