METAIRIE, La. - The New Orleans Saints have signed former Sacramento State linebacker Todd Davis to a three-year contract and waived injured cornerback A.J. Davis, Saints’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday.

Todd Davis, 6-foot-1, 230 pounds, went undrafted in 2013 after four seasons with the Hornets, in which he totaled 351 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 30 stops for a loss, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, three interceptions, six passes defended and a blocked kick. As a senior, he was an FCS second-team All-America (Sports Network) and a first-team All-Big Sky selection, earning his second straight team defensive MVP award, as well.

A.J. Davis, an undrafted free agent from Jacksonville State in 2012, saw his only action as a member of the Saints against Carolina on Dec. 30, 2012. He recorded no statistics while playing on special teams. He spent 2013 on injured reserve.
