METAIRIE, La. — Four Saints did not participate in Wednesday’s practice as the Saints got back on the field for the first time in preparation of Sunday’s game against Baltimore.
Tight end David Thomas (knee), specialist Courtney Roby (head), defensive tackle Remi Ayodele (ankle) and defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove (knee) did not participate.
But a bevy of players also were limited, including several starters.
Defensive back Malcolm Jenkins (rib), middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma (quad), tight end Jeremy Shockey (groin), running back Chris Ivory (hamstring) and left tackle Jermon Bushrod (ankle) all were limited.
All are game-related injuries and Head Coach Sean Payton said they’ll know more about the status of the players towards the end of the week.
“We’re listing pretty much all the nicks from the game we just played,” Payton said. “Sometimes that list is bigger, sometimes it’s smaller.”
As for Roby, Payton said, “He has been out (of the hospital). He’s here. It’s the testing they do post concussion.”
