NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Saints have traded for San Francisco outside linebacker Parys Haralson, according to The San Jose Mercury News.
Haralson, 29, didn't play a down last year after a triceps tear, but hopes to help the injury-plagued Saints.
The Saints lost Will Smith for the rest of the season earlier Monday, and also lost linebacker Victor Butler and defensive end Kenyon Coleman to year-ending injuries.
Haralson hasn't registered more than five sacks since 2008.
The team didn't details on the compensation for Haralson.
