METAIRIE, La. - The Who Dat nation was still in shock Thursday morning over the penalties handed out to Saints coach Sean Payton and the team over the "bounty" system.
The news of Payton's one year suspension made headlines around the country - USA Today's was "The NFL's big hit," the Tampa Tribune's was "Bounty penalties blindside Saints" and the Times Picayune's was "Fall from grace."
“Times Picayune – we got double their amount because of the Saints,” said Jimmy Depster of Lakeside News. “I couldn’t believe it. I knew they were going to get penalized. I didn’t think it would be that bad…everybody else is doing the same thing.”
“It’s justifiable, if you want an opinion…Any corporation is responsible for what goes on. If he knew about it, he is responsible,”said Patterson resident George Jaet.
