METAIRIE, La. — Five players remained out of practice for the Saints on Friday, New Orleans’ second day of work in preparation for Monday night’s game against Miami.
And one of those included receiver Lance Moore, who missed his second session in a row with a hand injury.
Coach Sean Payton isn’t worried, however, citing the depth the team can count on at the position.
“We’ve had a lot of guys and we had a chance in the preseason to get a lot of guys repetition,” Payton said. “I think it’s one of the areas that with the younger players, we were able to give them a lot of reps so we’ll see how this goes as the week progresses.”
Both defensive end Tyrunn Walker (knee) and guard Tim Lelito (calf) were bumped to limited Friday after not practicing a day earlier.
Safety Roman Harper (left knee), defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley (right calf), running back Mark Ingram (toe) and defensive end Tom Johnson (right hamstring) didn’t practice.
Cornerback Jabari Greer (back), safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (ankle), cornerback Chris Carr (knee) and guard Jahri Evans (hamstring) all were limited.
The rest of the roster was full.
