NEW ORLEANS -- Saints top draft pick Brandin Cooks said he's extremely excited for the opportunity to play with Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees.
"Drew Brees obviously gets the balls to all his receivers and his tight end," Cooks said. "So to be a rookie coming in, this is definitely the fit I want to be in."
But it's not just the football field that Cooks is looking forward to seeing in New Orleans.
"Food," he said. "Some good food. So I'm excited to get out there and put some pounds on."
The Saints traded up seventh spots to nab the speedy wide receiver out of Oregon State. He joins Kenny Stills and Marques Colston as the likely starting receivers come week one.
