It took some time, but Jordan Jefferson has found an NFL home.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed the former LSU quarterback Sunday after a weekend of praise from head coach Greg Schiano.
Schiano called Jefferson an "athletic guy who has a strong arm" in an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, which confirmed the signing.
The Buccaneers are set at quarterback, with Josh Freeman as the starter and Dan Orlovsky as the backup. Jefferson will battle Brett Ratliff and Zach Collaros for a spot on the roster as the team's quarterback.
Jefferson went undrafted in the 2012 NFL draft.
