NEW ORLEANS – Officials with the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the BCS Championship Game are encouraging fans to arrive really as large crowds are expected and the full security measures, pat downs and bag checks will take place.

In addition, Superdome officials are advising people without tickets to find a place away from the facility to watch the game as it will not be broadcast in Champions Square.

Parking will be allowed at the Superdome and in Champions Square garage and those gates will open at 6:30 a.m.

Officials also said the following items are not allowed inside the stadium:

 

  • outside food or beverage
  • weapons
  • oversize bags
  • backpacks
  • animals (except service animals)
  • large or offensive signs or clothing
  • noisemakers
  • projectiles
