LSU’s baseball team outscored opponents 33-2 during opening weekend.
A day later, the Tigers moved up a spot in both college baseball polls, jumping three spots to No. 9 in Collegiate Baseball and one spot to No. 7 in the Baseball America poll.
Florida remained No. 1 in Baseball America despite a 2-1 start.
LSU opened the season with a 10-2 win over Air Force, following it up with 19-0 and 4-0 wins over Alcorn State and Air Force again.
