LSU will open the season with three straight home night games at Tiger Stadium, giving the team at least four home night games in 2012.
The first two games are set for 6 p.m. kickoffs, with the Sept. 1 game against North Texas to be shown on ESPNU and the Sept. 8 game vs. Washington on ESPN.
The school had previously announced its Sept. 15 home game against Idaho would be at 7 p.m. and shown on TigerVision (pay-per-view).
LSU hasn’t opened a season with three consecutive home games at night since 1980. That year, the Tigers lost to No. 13 Florida State 16-0 to open up before beating Kansas State 21-0 and Colorado 23-20.
In addition to the three games to open the season, the Nov. 3 game against Alabama will be at 7 p.m. on CBS (WWL-TV, channel 4).
LSU’s Nov. 23 regular season-ending game at Arkansas will be televised by CBS at 1:30 p.m..
The Tigers had only two home night games all of 2011. LSU beat Northwestern St. 49-3 and Western Kentucky 42-9, both at night.
